BatchPCB.com Marketplace FAQ
Mar 4, 2010

Since we launched the newly updated BatchPCB Marketplace, there have been a few popular questions.  If you have any further questions feel free to email us at Support@batchpcb.com.

Q:  Can designs be rated?

A:  Yes, designs can be rated but you must be logged in to rate the designs.  There are two arrows above and below the number "0" on the design, click up or down on the arrows to rate the design. The ratings will help you filter through bad designs and save you time and money.

Q:  Can I *flag* bad designs?

A:  Yes,  the red flag in the product box lets you *flag* designs that don't work and violate copyright laws.  Also feel free to flag designs that don't properly follow the open-source liscence.  We will receive and email once a design has been flagged and take action to handle the situation.

Q:  How do I get the best results for selling my design?

A:  Provide as much information about the design as possible.  Provide links to a schematic as well as a parts list to maximize potential for a positive sale.

Q;  How will I get paid?

A; Royalties will be paid on a monthly basis and must meet a minimum amount of $10. In your monthly check, you will receive the earnings in the reporting period (the previous month), plus any royalties earned in previous pay periods that did not meet the minimum. For example, if you earned $2.75 in January, $5 in February, and $20 in March, you would get a check (or PayPal transfer) at the beginning of April for $27.75.

Q:  What is BatchPCB's return policy?

A;  All sales are final.

NEW FEATURE FOR BATCH PCB!
Mar 1, 2010

So you made a PCB design? Think others might benefit from it? Sell it! You can sell as many (or as few) designs as you want and can receive payment via check or paypal. *Available only to residents in the United States.  This is our new exciting feature for Batchpcb.com!  You can only sell your own designs (or open-source designs if you properly follow the license.  Royalties will be paid on a monthly basis and must meet a minimum amount of $10. All sales are final with this new addition.  Before becoming a reseller in the BatchPcb.com marketplace you need to fill out a W-9 form here http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf?portlet=3, scan it and email it to forms@batchpcb.com.   We are also taking another proactive measure to keep you informed about the panelization process, by introducing our own Twitter account, www.twitter.com/batchPCB.  Find out how full the panel is and when panelization will be done for the day.  Feel free to use the Twitter page to promote your products as well as general feedback.  Although Twitter is awesome, for questions about orders continue to email support@batchpcb.com. Chinese New Year Shutdown
Feb 10, 2010

Our manufacturer is going to be shutdown from 2/10/2010 until 2/17/2010 due to the Chinese New Year.  Orders will still be panelized during this shutdown and will be sent out for production on 2/17/2010.  Sorry for the delay.

Upcoming Holiday Panel Schedule
Dec 4, 2009

It is the Holiday season agian, which means our manufacturer will be shutting down for a few extended periods of time.  We will still be accepting orders as normal, but here is the schedule for the manufacturer.  December 18th, 2009 is the official shut down until January 3rd, 2010 on which we can start sending panels back out to the manufacturer.  Make sure that your orders are submitted before the 17th of December if you want to have  your order processed and sent out for production before the shut down.  On January 3rd 2010, we can start submitting orders again until January 15th 2010.  During this brief period of manufacturing expect lead times to be a little bit longer due to the manufacturer only accepting orders for 4 hours per day .  January 18th 2010, Batch PCB will be back to normal statuses and lead times.  You can still submit your orders at anytime to Batch PCB during this period of shut down, but they will not be sent out to the manufacturer until they can accept orders.  I suggest making your orders with plenty of time to spare before these dates.  I will make sure everyone's order is processed before the shutdown.

Happy Holidays!

New lead time for 4-layer PCBs
Oct 16, 2009

Batch PCB understands your needs to receive your  boards in a timely manner.  Thats why we are proud to announce our new lead times for 4-layer PCB orders.  The past lead times for 4-layer PCBs was 8-12 weeks, the new lead time is 5-6 weeks.

Orders no longer have to wait for a panel to be filled to be sent out to the manufacturer.  They are now handled on an order by order basis, which allows us to cut down on the time it takes for you to receive your order.

We hope you enjoy these new lead times and keep sending us your feedback.

Thanks,

Patrick

New Features!
Oct 5, 2009

Hello all!

As many of you have requested, you can now view which panel your order lies on.  To do this, go into "View Orders" and click on a specific order to find out more information.

You also may notice that future panels are now being estimated based off of the order queue.  This is only an estimate, but it will give you an idea of how close to full our panels will be.

Stay tuned for more updates and as always, keep sending us feedback!

Thanks,

Alex

The New Person: Patrick
A new person and a fond farewell
Aug 26, 2009

It has been a great year working with BatchPCB.  Unfortunately, I must be moving on.  We have a new person, Patrick.  I am training Patrick to be the new BatchPCB Gerber Guru.  Soon, Patrick will be taking over panelization, panel processing, and support roles.  Let us welcome Patrick to the BatchPCB family.  I wish BatchPCB and all of its customers the best.

Farewell,

Devlin
