This board combines up to 4 individual engine MAP signals and reports the lowest signal level as one MAP signal to an Engine Control Unit (ECU). Similar can be done by using vacuum lines and check valves, however this electrical version removes the variable delays and removes the low pass filter effects often seen when done mechanically.
